When the right vendor doesn't exist, we build it.

Can't find the partner you need? We orchestrate them: directly, or from our network of independent studios, always under our project management and technical leadership.

01 · The premise

A broker hands you a vendor and disappears. We stay in the room until the vendor has delivered.

Sometimes the client has a specific need we can't cover alone — mobile capacity, dedicated design, very specialized vertical engineering. Sometimes the client has searched for a vendor and only found agency layers and billing surprises.

We provide a third option: we act as procurement + PM + technical lead. We select the vendor from our network of independent studios (or run it internally). We make them work with our XP discipline. We guarantee the quality bar.

The Extreme Contract is radical: we underwrite quality. If the vendor we chose fails to deliver, it's our responsibility. Single point of contact, single point of accountability.

02 · What we deliver

What we deliver.

/01

Technical needs assessment

Map the real need, not the one in the brief. What changes at the end of the project? Which interface contract is actually needed?

/02

Vendor sourcing from network

Selection from independent studios, vetted senior freelancers, vertical partners. All ones we've already worked with — no blind references.

/03

Contract templates

Definition of done, milestones, payment schedule, IP transfer, exit clauses. Written so the vendor actually signs them.

/04

Embedded project management

Weekly sync between you, us and the vendor. Written status reports. Active risk register.

/05

Technical leadership

ADR review, code review on critical points, definition of done verified by us. The vendor doesn't deliver code we wouldn't sign off on.

03 · XP in action

How we operate.

XP / Pair Programming
Pair between vendor and us on critical pieces.

The vendor doesn't work in isolation. Pair on risky modules, code review on everything.

XP / Retros
Tripartite retros every 2 weeks.

Client, us, vendor. Honest, written, with signed action items.

Contracts / Quality Underwriting
We underwrite quality.

The vendor answers to us, we answer to the client. Single point of accountability.

Contracts / Clean Exit
Knowledge stays with the client.

Repo, documentation, ADRs owned by the client. No "consulting tax" on the vendor's exit.

04 · The contract

Pre-conditions, post-conditions, invariants.

Every engagement has explicit pre-conditions, measurable post-conditions, and invariants we never violate. You know what we need at the start, what comes out at the end, and what we don't negotiate in the middle.

Pre-conditions / what we need from you
  • Definable technical need (we can be in the definition process too).
  • Agreed budget and realistic timeline.
  • Internal stakeholder available for weekly sync.
  • Openness to working with vendors we recommend (not picking them via blind procurement).
Post-conditions / what we guarantee
  • Vendor selected and engaged with clear contract.
  • Delivery completed with quality bar verified by us.
  • Knowledge transfer to the internal team.
  • Network of partners usable by the client autonomously for future searches.
05 · When it works

Right fit, wrong fit.

YESRight fit if…
  • You have a technical need KytheronLabs doesn't cover directly but for which we know the right studios.
  • You have a specialized stack/domain (mobile, embedded, advanced design system, AR/VR).
  • You need a single point of contact without wanting to become the vendor PM yourself.
  • You've tried traditional agencies and didn't find quality.
NOWrong fit if…
  • You want a broker dispatching CVs or studios without technical involvement — we're not an agency.
  • You don't want a PM + technical lead in the middle — some direct vendor-client integrations work great alone.
  • You want to force a specific vendor outside our network. We can, but then we can't guarantee quality underwriting.
